BEEHLER: Former EXCITER Drummer/Vocalist Lays Project To Rest

BEEHLER, the Ottawa-based project featuring original EXCITER members Dan Beehler (drums/vocals) and Allan Johnson (bass),along with guitarists Sean Brophy and Scott Walsh, has officially disbanded. In an e-mail to Mario's Metal Mania last week, Beehler said, "The last thing I was involved with was [putting together] the EXCITER re-releases with Jeff Waters [ANNIHILATOR]. I have laid the BEEHLER project to rest and have moved on. I would like to use some BEEHLER tracks as bonus tracks in the future. I'am writing some heavier material right now with a death metal guy, Paul Champagne. We will be demoing some songs soon."

In a separate e-mail to Mario's Metal Mania, Johnson said, "I'm sorry to say that the BEEHLER band is no longer together. Dan did not want to pursue that project anymore, much to our dismay. Sean Brophy and I, however, have started a new band and we'll keep [everyone] updated on that as it goes along. It's not easy finding musicians of a high caliber."
